FLWOR è un mwdwacronimo, dove ogni lettera è l'iniziale di una mweaclausola:

• mwewmwfaFOR - crea una sequenza di nodi
• mwfgmwfwLET - collega una sequenza di nodi ad una variabile
• mwgqWHERE - filtra i nodi che soddisfano una mwggcondizione booleana
